Nourishing with Self-Touch

Most of us have experienced some forms of restriction in our freedom to self-touch and pleasure.
Furthermore our patriarchal culture with its imbalanced and distorted relationship to pleasure and sexuality, endorses that pleasure and its nourishment is to be found almost exclusively from outside ourselves.
During our two journeys of loving self-touch, we will flow within different focuses and feminine frequencies.
The invitation at the heart of both sessions is a deep and direct somatic intimacy to release where restricted, the nourishing power of pleasure into a deeper resilience, self-love and compassion.
The session during ‘Tuning-in’ week, will invite a nurturing and celebration of our sensual nature to attune us more deeply, where possible to our very nature as pleasure itself.
Whilst the session on ‘Going Deep’ week, will invite you slowly and sensitively from wholeness into more specific self-touch through your unique female landscape; breasts, pelvic floor/vulva and vagina into your deeper and perhaps more intimate experience of being womxn/woman.
Both sessions give gentle guidance and open invitations to invite you to tune-in so to recognise and honour any fluctuating needs and desires, whilst being guided by the creative presence of your body with its inherent delight.
In these tender, sensitive and sometimes playful inquiries, the emphasis is not to fix or heal but to meet the natural rhythms of subtle pleasure without imposition, welcoming whatever is present as a deep celebration of the wholeness and pleasure you most deeply are.
More about Charlene..
My interest in Somatic Spirituality began almost two decades ago when I became an apprentice to Godfrey Devereux; pioneer and creator of Radical Ecology, a whole spectrum of Somatic Intimacy practices based on the inherent intelligence of the body.
Deepening my interest in the natural healing ability of the body, I completed a 2 year training in Craniosacral Biodynamics with Franklyn sills and post-graduate courses in ‘Facing the Core Wound’ with Charles Ridley.
To complement and enrich my therapeutic skills in both Biodynamics and Sexual healing, amongst other trainings I became certified in the Wheel of Consent by creator Betty Martin and Women’s Holistic Pelvic care™ by founder Tami Lynn Kent.
Deeply rooted in Radical Ecology, I offer specialised & comprehensive 1:1 sessions, courses and retreats in Denmark, inviting deep somatic intimacy through movement, touch and play to generate pathways of empathy, love and understanding.
In these changing and troubled times, I believe intimacy with ourselves and other- be this human, creature, animal, soil or tree is the most direct and powerful way for each of us to know the pleasure of deep loving peace, as a limitless source of resilience and light to guide our way.

Olivia Crooks (DynamicYoga senior trainer of teachers & Yoga Elder in the IYN) www.intimatbeing.com
I have been helping people through Somatic Self Enquiry for about 18 years. This began with teaching yoga, meditation and Tantra, and then training Teachers. Over time my work began to open and broaden from its traditional foundations in response to the multi-faceted challenges of being human in the 20th Century. More recently it has coalesced into the development and teaching of Radical Ecology. This is a practice based approach to being human based on deep intimacy with self and other. The somatic practices I use are all invitations to experience the presence of Wholeness and the deep support it offers to the individual. I am not a therapist, but the work I do has clear therapeutic effects. I am currently offering online classes and courses in: Somatic Awareness, Embodied Resilience and Women’s groups. I am inspired by the depths and power of human intelligence, its natural wisdom, compassion and generosity. My deepest commitment is to help people find security, safety and solidarity in this often daunting universe.
